What Do Police Chaplains Do ?
The Brownwood Police Chaplain Program began in 1988 through the Brownwood
Police Department, at Brownwood,Texas. Although the Chaplains are considered city
employees they volunteer their time to help other.
Police Chaplains provide support for the officers of the
Brownwood Police Dept. And other Brown County
Agencies when requested. Psychological and Spiritual
support is also provided for the families.
Police Chaplains respond to death scenes, major
accidents, structure fires, and any other situation when
requested.
Chaplains also help with crisis negotiations and mental
health crisis.
All Chaplains are professionally trained and hold
degrees.

Dr. Dan Chapman, Calvin Gray and Dave Fair, have over 15 years with the Brownwood    
Police Chaplain Program. Leatha Warden has almost 5 years.
  Kathy Monroe and Bo Shero are the newest Chaplains
having joined the program late last year.
